DR. JASON STANFORD, PhD. DABR

Dr. Jason Stanford has over 20 years of experince in healthcare as a clinician, educator and executive leader. Previously he served as Associate Professor of Medicine, and System Director for Physics and Dosimetry in Radiation Oncology at Geisinger. As the Chief of Physics, he led the physics and radiation safety program in radiology and radiation oncology at Forrest Health, comprising a network of 7 hospitals and 18 outpatient facilities 

Dr. Stanford’s educational background includes an associate degree in radiography, a Bachelor of Science degree in radiation therapy, a Master’s degree in medical physics, Doctorate degree in nuclear engineering with specialization in medical physics and a post graduate residency training in medical physics. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology Dr. Stanford is active in medical imaging and radiation oncology internationally. He served as the Co-chair of the Student and Trainee Working Group of American Association of Physicist in Medicine and on various commitees such as: Subcommittee Member ASRT Radiation Oncology Safety Stakeholders initiative. Subcommittee Member ASRT Practice Standard in Medical Dosimetry. His academic research interest includes treatment planning, small field dosimetry and quantum biology solution to cancer cure. Dr. Stanford spent a great deal of his career training physicians and physicist in radiation oncology residency. He was awarded educator of the year from University of Mississippi Medical Center department of radiation oncology, where he previously held an academic appointment as Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine. Dr. Stanford has a passion and vision to provide access to quality cancer care in Jamaica and the carribean region by extension.
