Alliance International Medical (AIM) Limited opened its doors recently in Drax Hall, St. Ann with the aim of providing quality health care not just to persons who can afford to pay top dollars but also to those who genuinely need it.

AIM is a start-up medical services venture that delivers comprehensive medical care, which include general medical practice services, and medical and radiation oncology services, to patients locally and overseas.

AIM is led by Dr. Jason Stanford, a medical physicist, and a specialist in the field of radiation oncology, and the principal visionary for the venture. Dr. Stanford brings a wealth of experience and a record of solid achievements to lead the start-up and development efforts.

According to the Jamaica Cancer Registry at the University of the West Indies, 7,348 cancers were recorded in Jamaica as of 2018 broken down into 3,495 in males and 3,853 in females.

In its quest to become the leading Jamaican-based provider of radiation oncology treatment targeting patients domestically and overseas, in the Northeast and Southern United States, AIM has employed world-class specialist.

“Our physicians are all board certified in their specialty. Our nurses and allied health staff are licensed professionals. Many of our staff has international training and experience in respective specialty,” Dr. Stanford reported.

“We provide world class collaboration and second opinion via our virtual care review rounds. Our experts are current and former professors in medicine and science. Our specialist has national and international affiliations,” said Dr. Stanford.

The clinical and office facilities will be fully outfitted to meet the international service standards of its target patients. Its facilities comprise over 10,000 square feet of medical space offering comprehensive ambulatory and cancer care services under one roof.

“We are conveniently located in Drax Hall, which allows for ease of access to our facility from both Montego Bay, Kingston airports and over 14 destinations across the Jamaica via the existing transportation system logistics,” Dr. Stanford said.

AIM medical centre is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. The digital linear accelerator MLC are four times faster than other units on the market, the flattening filter free mode deliver treatment dose four times faster.

The Company’s oncology services will include brachytherapy, systemic radiation therapy, external radiation therapy (3D-CRT, IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, and VMAT), lung cancer treatment, breast cancer treatment, prostate cancer radiation therapy, gynecological oncology.
